Position: "PHP Software Developer"

Required skills: 
- strong knowledge and proficiency in PHP (function as well as object oriented) - it does not matter for how many years you have been practicing, but you need to be able to write clean, properly documented code as well as test cases and should be able to use the right tools for debugging and measurement of how well your code performs. You should be able to write efficient code in an efficient way. 
- experience in using (R)DBMS, such as for example MySQL or PostgreSQL 
- willing to occasionally use MSSQL :-) 
- experience in using either of CVS / SVN / GIT / MERCURIAL (or any other distributed versioning system) 
- command of the english language without difficulties (that's for your code, this notice just tries to assay your english reading skills), command of the german language without difficulties (that's for your daily live with us, and we do speak German 99,9% of our time) 
- vi(m), ssh, rsh, scp, rsync, screen (even though you might prefer other tools for your daily work it is necessary that you are able to perform some tasks directly on any remote host) 
- strong communication skills as you will work in a team 
- developer mindset (sticking to the coding style guide given, quick adoption of new technologies as the situation requires, willingness to learn new techniques and technologies and to become one of the best in that field, loyalty to your team and to the product, result driven)

Desired skills: 
- proficiency in using at least one PHP framework , e.g. symphony, Zend Framework or YII, or which ever 
- proficiency in using at least one PHP template system 
- proficiency in using of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (you need to be able to fix a broken layout or script every now and then)

Nice to have: 
- XML, XPATH, XSLT 
- lightSQL, noSQL 
- apache, memcached, cron 
- SCRUM or Kanban 
- API - knowledge ( be that facebook or aws) 
- experience in code review 
- proficiency in optimizing code for security, performance, availability, scalability, distributed systems
