Senior PHP Developer (m/f)

We are seeking creative and motivated engineers to rapidly define and implement new features for our websites & mobile apps. Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, innovative, good at „getting things done“, and have experience working on production websites.
Your mission
- Build new features, services and web applications
- Proposing and documenting software design, analyzing requirements, and presenting implementation options
- Hands on, approach analyzing existing code, writing new code, testing, debugging and providing production support
- Testing and trouble-shooting
- Developing code for the targeted environment as well as participating in architectural discussions that are relevant to their domain of expertise or responsibility
- Develop standards compliant Web applications
- Embracing development best practices, and communicating clearly and effectively with peers, users, testers, and supervisors

Your skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years overall professional software development experience
- 3+ years of PHP development
- Strong experience with a relational database (preferably MySQL)
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX Object-oriented design (OOD) experience
- Great Javascript skills, Linux environment experience, an understanding of WWW standards
- Experience with one of the "big" javascript frameworks (jQuery would be beneficial)
- Experience working with abstract DB layers (AdoDB, PDO) as well as templating systems (Smarty3 would be beneficial)
- Knowledge of external full-text search systems (sphinx, lucene) preferred
- Ability (and enthusiasm) in mentoring less experienced developers
