Senior PHP Developer

Piranha Media is an independent publishing house specialising in music
and lifestyle magazines (Spex, Juice, Piranha, Groove). We are based
in Munich, Germany.

For our newly built website development team in Munich, we are looking
for a Senior PHP Developer.

Your responsibilities:

• • Taking a lead role as Senior PHP Developer in building new websites
  • Developing new large-scale websites
  • Architecture and realisation of data integration processes
  • Developing advanced back-end systems
  • Integrating high-performance solutions for searching and navigating large amounts of pages

Your profile:

We require excellent developers with extensive experience.
As a minimum, you should possess:

• • A university degree and/or several years of work experience in a fast-moving IT and internet environment
  • Experience with high-volume and high-availability platforms
  • Some years of PHP programming experience
  • Excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming, XML, SOAP,PEAR, and web services
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, especially PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Proven object-oriented development experience with layered internet architectures and web services
  • Java experience is a plus

Moreover, it is important that you:

• • Are fluent in German and English
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Have a positive "can do" attitude and the ability to get things done
  • Enjoy working in a team employing Agile methods
