Bereits seit sechs Monaten haben die Macher des bekannten Portals Facebook die Software HipHop im Einsatz. Laut eigenen Angaben hat sich dadurch die Serverlast halbiert.
Erreicht wird der Perfromancegewinn duch die Transformation in C++ Code und der anschließenden Übersetzung in nativen Maschienencode.
