PHP 7.0 Beta 1 veröffentlicht
Mit der PHP Version 7.0 b1 wurde die dritte Vorabversion der neuen PHP 7 Serie veröffentlicht.

Die Implementierung neuer Funktionen wurde, nach Aussage des Entwicklungsteam, abgeschlossen. Weiter neue Funktionen soll es demnach nicht mehr geben. Es wird ausdrücklich darauf hingewiesen, dass die Beta 7.0 nicht für den Produktiveinsatz gedacht ist. Vielmehr sind nun alle PHP-Entwickler aufgerufen, die neue Version zu testen und eventuell vorhandene Fehler an das Entwicklerteam zu melden. https://bugs.php.net/
Zu den wesentlichen Erneuerungen zählen unter anderem die verbesserte Leistung der neuen PHP Version. PHP 7 soll demnach doppelt so performant sein, wie die Version 5.6. Ferner wurde eine konsistente 64-Bit-Unterstützung implementiert.
