extension module problem ( ldap )

ldap extension does not work although:


1) extension=php_ldap.dll -> uncommented in php_ini by removing ;

2) extension_dir = C:\PHP\dlls\ set in php_ini
also tested with : extension_dir = C:\PHP\dlls, but the above should be correct.

3) file: php_ldap.dll copied to
a) C:\WINNT\system32 folder
and to
b) C:\PHP\dlls

4) environment variables set like follows:
C:\WINNT\system32;C:\WINNT;C:\WINNT\System32\Wbem;C:\PHP\dlls;C:\PHP\php

5) also tested codewalker: and copied missing apphelp.dll to system 32 folder.


6) spent weeks and weeks in searching all forums


windows iis 5
php 4.2.3
Windows NT 5.0
server api: cgi

and: YES it MUST BE IIS and WINDOWS AND PHP in this version
and: YES i red all the posts regarding this topic in this forum

pleas, pleas pleas help.
